As part of our endeavour to help those who are currently Not Employed, in Education and not in Training (known colloquially as NEETs), we have set up an agreement with Croydon College and several of our Social Housing Clients to provide apprenticeships for residents in both Croydon and the areas where our Housing Clients are based.
We are very excited to have already started this new programme with 2 Apprentices already in place who are making leaps and bounds in our Commercial Contracts Division and Building and Electrical Division, 2 more Apprentices will also be starting with us in March. Paying above the Minimum Wage for Apprentices, we are really hopeful that these newest, and enthusiastic members of our team quickly gain their NVQs and soon become fully integrated members of the Chequers Family.
Our Business Administration Apprentice has already shown how she can adapt from being a Hair Salon Receptionist to putting her hand to Telemarketing, General Admin and is already proving to be a valuable member of our team, even when thrown in at the deep end!
Sales & Marketing Director, Kate Ward, has recently joined Croydon College as a Governor and really hopes that our closer ties with the College can make a great impact on the NEETs of Croydon and the surrounding areas.
We have been able to offer Apprenticeships in Business Administration, Plumbing, Carpentry and Caretaking and the opportunities are seemingly endless.
